We build human bonds – long-lasting and resistant, with girders, building plans, measurements, effort, coordination... Teamwork.

Participants, split into two teams, coordinated by several facilitators, are asked to build a bridge that links one side of a river to the other. They will work to build it strong enough so that it can be crossed safely.

During the first half of the day, the participants will have to successfully complete a series of team exercises in order to get hold of the resources and of some auxiliary sketches. Also, after having been tested, each team will be given a walkie-talkie device. By means of this gadget, they will be able to communicate with the other team to agree on the final outline of the bridge. Each team will receive detailed plans and instructions regarding the building objectives: a bridge that each team member will have to cross. With the help of specific tools, participants will have to build in a few hours something that is normally built-in weeks or months – but, of course, of another size!

Understanding the importance of personal contribution to the end result;

Motivating the team by confronting them with a challenge that seems impossible at first;

Developing conditions for efficient communication, with a certain purpose, among their teammates, but also among the other teams;

Learning negotiation, leadership, conflict and stress management techniques;

Strengthening team spirit.
