”Change Maker” is an excellent instrument for approaching all forms related to change management, team work and strategic planning, including communication, conflict solution, decisions taking. It's an experiential simulation that uses the concept of competitive cooperation to show the group interdependency and the way organizational change is addressed.
The group is divided in teams representing fictitious countries. They are expected to trade coins and information in order to increase their own wealth. After several rounds of negotiation, calculations and strategies, each team reach a final result. At this point a big change occurs when some of the original information prove that they were intentionally wrong submitted. The new cards affect the bonus points combinations, the total number of coins, their combinations and how the final calculations are made. All teams’ interactions involves both result and process.
