It’s important to know that above all people work for a purpose and each piece from the mosaic counts to the “big picture”. There are timeswhen we get stuck in our day to day business and we can’t see the overall image. Being together and helping each other can give us a sense,but collaborating and having a vision will give us a direction.
What happens in “Mosaic“?
At the beginning of the exercise, we split the participants into smaller teams. Each team is in charge of a certain segment of the mosaic, whichwill be part of the final artistic achievement.
Equipped with glue, cutting tools, drawing pencils and small pieces of mosaic the participants will start to build a masterpiece.
The participants will soon realize that, in order to be successful, all the teams must cooperate. Once completed, the mosaics are gathered fromall the teams and framed.
The strength of the event is the varnishing moment, where, after a discussion (debriefing), the work is shown to the participants for the firsttime, accompanied by music, the inevitable applauses and standing ovations.
End result:
The participants become aware of the importance of personal contribution to the end result;
The team will be motivated to achieve a challenge that seems impossible;
The way to communicate with one’s own team members, as well as with the other teams is developed and improved;
The team will be stimulated to be more united in making decisions.
