The earliest toys were apparently made of wood - the older children, when they were not taken to work by their parents, used to manufacture them themselves. This is because of the nostalgia of not having a toy to play with during their childhood. Later, when the small ones were granted their right to childhood, parents began to focus on their development and need to play, by trying to procure toys. From a snag or a carved piece of wood parents created craftsmanship toys so that each child finally played with them.

Did you know that the ”yo-yo” is considered in the history of many civilizations as the second toy of the world, the first one being the doll?

What happens during ”Toy Factory”? 

”Toy Factory” is a fun, dynamic and creative program in which each participant contributes with their own set of creative and technical skills. The program represents a unique challenge for teams, aiming to create, assemble and decorate various toys for children of different ages. We bring the materials and tools needed, you'll do the magic and the result will be a bunch of toys that we will donate to some family associations, orphanages, kindergartens or schools. Each participant will write a letter or message to the child  -  the actual recipient of the toy. The message can contain information such as how the toy was made, maybe even the name of the toy and something about themselves.
